Mice On Drugs

Let me tell you how meth makes users feel 'high' . . . . (like I really care, I'm thinking .....)

We'll review how drugs disrupt the synapse ..... (blah blah blah blah is all I'm hearing) ...... Take a look inside the brains of mice on drugs .......... (errghhhhh??? Did he say 'mice on drugs?')

According to The New Science Of Addiction, from the Genetic Science Learning Center at the University of Utah, drug addiction is a chronic disease characterized by changes in the brain which result in a compulsive desire to use a drug.

A combination of many factors including genetics,

environment and behavior influence a person's addiction

risk, making it an incredibly complicated disease.

The New Science Of Addiction considers all of these factors - from biology to family - to unravel the complexities of the addicted brain. The Genetic Science Learning Center discusses natural reward pathways that exist in the brain, that the reward pathway is responsible for driving our feelings of motivation, reward and behavior.

Research it, if you like...... Have had it. However, I liked the easier to understand cartoon pictoral diagram that is also offered by the Learning Center, you can visit it by clicking the following link (turn your sound on) entitled: ~ ~ MOUSE PARTY ~ ~

And, have a good day!
